  • Sustainable hood-stove market is created in project districts with installation of around 30,000 hood-stoves within4 years project period
  • Within the four year project period, cooperatives will develop credit-lines for hood-stoves
  • Business development trainings are provided to hood-stove entrepreneurs that opt to set up their own SME and skills training to village-level hood-stove entrepreneurs and craftsmen. They are expected in turn to provide technical training to their staff.
  • Functionality of hood-stoves is ensured by the provision of after-sales services by the hood-stove entrepreneurs, which is an eligibility criterion for RBF incentives.
  • Quality assurance is provided by annual sample spot checks conducted by the third party. Stoves used within the hood-stove package require RETs certification.
  • Local NGOs are contracted for district-level coordination (e.g. with District Development Committee), village level health awareness campaigns on HAP, and for assisting local cooperatives and entrepreneurs with hood-stove marketing campaigns.

Effective demonstration of results-based financing as a tool to accelerate low carbon energy access via decentralised technologies
