1.  Improve health by partnering with local communities to raise awareness and practices on good health, hygiene and sanitation, particularly among women and children during at least 4 WASH programs per year.

2. Improve access and availability of clean drinking water in targeted areas through WASH training programs and construction of at least 2 water projects per year.

3. Improve access and availability to sanitary toilets in target areas through WASH training programs and construction of at least 4 toilet projects per year.

4. Enhance access to healthcare in the remote area of the Nubri valley through the construction and operation of a health facility in Ghap.

5. Improve access to reliable health services and health education to the 2,000-9,000+ villagers living within the Nubri and Tsum valleys through the Ghap health facility.

6. Offer reliable health care service and medicine to the estimated 2,000+ tourists that visit the area each year.

7. Promote nutrition awareness and healthy practices in families by leveraging the health facility in Ghap to raise awareness and practices of good health, particularly among women and children by offering periodic health care clinics and programs.

8. Provide housing, healthcare, and education to at least 17 children from the Nubri valley (far north of Gorkha district) through Mercy Now Children’s Home program.

9. Strengthen formal education system by providing support to the Shree Nubri Primary School and the village of Ghap. The school currently has a total of 47 students enrolled.

10. Improve housing, healthcare and educational opportunities to at least 1 child with disabilities per year.

11. Improve healthcare and education of at least 10 children from Jumla through the Highland Jumla program.

12. Increase school enrollment rate, and decrease dropout rate.

Through the above listed activities, we hope to achieve the following outputs.

1. Increased access to healthcare and medicine services of the targeted communities.
2. Increased access to health and sanitation services of the targeted communities.
3. Increased access to educational opportunities of the children from the target areas.
4. Strengthened capacity of the implementing partners.
