  1. 52 hazard-prone, low-income communities’ social capital and physical system Strengthened that enable community resilience to natural disasters and climate-induced hazards
  2. 4,000 Beneficiaries’ livelihoods are more resilient to ecological hazards and/or results of climate change through bioengineering, land/watershed and other complementary approaches that mitigate acute and chronic natural disasters while also linking them to local markets to increase incomes and to access disaster risk-reducing techniques.
  3. Integrated Resilience Building Research & Learning: Targeted research of the M-RED program expands impact of integrated approaches to building resilience to natural hazards and climate change, and influences practice in resilience.
Impact: 

To enable smallholder farming communities in Timor-Leste and Nepal, and particularly the most vulnerable people in these communities, to be more resilient to natural hazards and the adverse effects of climate change, and to bounce back better and more quickly from natural disasters.
