B) Action at Community on Trafficking Intervention Violence End (ACTIVE)

1.Women & girls who are vulnerable to trafficking are intercepted/rescued, and cases of trafficking are reduced through prevention measures.

  2. Migration Information Centres (MIC) have been established and are functional at central and local level for providing information and services to target groups and various stakeholders
  3. An Empirical study on “Migration trends and use of Remittance has been Developed
  4. Vulnerable women migrants  and returnee male migrants of the targeted area have received  entrepreneur and vocational skills
  5. Vulnerable women migrants and returnee male migrants have developed potentially viable business plan
  6. Vulnerable women migrantsand returnee male migrants are sensitized on gender issues and have been integrated in existing social structures
  7. Returnee women and men migrant  and families of current migrant are sensitized and start practicing on effective utilization of Remittance Money
  8. Government and Civil Society stakeholders  are sensitized / informed about safe migration and for the need of policy reforms and effective implementation of existing provisions
  9. Migration issues of Nepal and difficulties of Nepali migrant workers facing in destination country have been raised in regional and international forums and the findings are reflected back to influence national processes for promotion of migrant rights (policy reform, implementation mechanisms, etc) 
  10. Civil society is mobilised to raise voice and sensitize government stakeholders for policy reform and effective implementation of policies
  11. Active media work is implemented to spread migration related information and urge the need for policy reform and proper implementation of policies

B) Action at Community on Trafficking Intervention and Violence End (ACTIVE)

  1. MNVs, Community Safety Net members and LCCHT members are capacitated to address safe migration, human trafficking and become friendly to deal with survivors
  2. School drop-outs and adolescent girls (14-24) have received trainings on risk and prevention of human trafficking and safe migration within their communities
  3. Police, government officials and other relevant stakeholders at local level are sensitized & ready to address human trafficking
  4. Knowledge of girls/women on anti trafficking issue, safe migration and other legal provisions enhanced
  5. Border Survillance and Info Centres are functional
  6. In 2 working districts- Journalists are trained about human trafficking issue and sensitive reporting
  7. Participants of the workshop with judge, lawyers, government attornies (public prosecutors) are sensitized
  8. Developed and disseminated IEC materials throughout the project districts
  9. General public are sensitized on anti human trafficking measures and safe migration procedures through radio programs
  10. Government and Civil society Organizations are aware about Emerging Issues of Human trafficking and develop recommendation to amend laws
  11. MNVs and Community Safety Net members are capacitated
  12. DCCHT in Chitwan, Sindhupalchowk and Rasuwa districts are strengthened

C) Promotion of Safe Migration & Prevention of Human Trafficking in Doti and Kanchanpur Districts of Nepal

  1. Multipliers (Spouse groups, returnee groups, migrant network, VCCHT/MCCHT) Members and peer facilitators have deeper knowledge on SM, anti-HT, GESI, HIV prevention related issues, policy provision, and programs
  2. Governmental and other stakeholders in local and district internalized knowledge and issue of SM, HT
  3. Safe migration and anti-human trafficking related radio awarness programs, jingles have broadcasted by local FM
  4. Community mass awarness on safe migration and anti-human trafficking took place
  5. Informative hoarding boards & , wall painting designe and installed  for public awarness
  6. Migrant network, spouse groups, returnee  groups and VCCHT/MCCHT have networking and advocacy skills
  7. MoU between financial institutions/cooperatives and project implementers are signed
  8.  Social structures members received training on social mobilization, leadership, HIV, GESI, GBV
  9. Safe migration, anti-human trafficking and project related issues published in print & electronic media
  10. Social structures members have exposed and increased thematic knowledge

  23. Research report & finding are shared to parliament members from Far Western Region to make them familiar on the magnitude of migration and human trafficking context
