capacity building of various women leaders at grass roots level and women parliamentarians: advocacy and awareness raising on women’s representation; Capacity building to national leaders and grass roots women activists on NAP and transitional justice; and through strengthening Sankalpa as an organization by appraising and restructuring its systems and procedures.

The primary target groups are thus the district and village level women, key women activists and women’s rights organization leaders and Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs), conflict affected women and parliamentarians. Civil servants, central level political leaders, local journalists, rural population and CA committee members are the secondary target groups.Purpose: support the implementation of the National Action Plan of UNSCR 1325 and 1820; and increase representation of women in political parties, civil service and national and sub-national governance structures.

Outcome:

Results: See attached results chain (Annex1)

Outcome 1: Women and men are better organized and demonstrate unity in diversity to ensure representation at national and sub national governance structures, political parties and civil service.

 

Outcome 2: Women activists and organizations are increasingly lobbying for women’s rights and transitional justice using UNSCR 1325 and 1820 NAP as a tool.

 

Outcome 3: Sankalpa demonstrates significant institutional and organizational transformation in terms of human resources and project management cycle.

 


Impact: 

The goal of the project is to help increase and enhance women representation and rights in the government, political parties, private sectors, at all levels, and ensure that conflict affected women have access to social justice
