Input: 

The Saudi Fund has agreeed to provide 93.75 Saudi Riyal for the Rehabilitation and Extension of Dunduwa Irrigation Project in Banke. The project has following Components:

1. Civil Works :

a. Construction of main and link canal with length of about 25 km.

b. Construction of six branch canals of about 38 km.

c. Command area development for 16,000 ha including tertiary canals of about 250 km.

2. Supply and installation of equipment : Vehicles and electromechannical equipment for the irrigation system.

3. Land acquisition: The acquisition of land in some parts of the project area, which is estimated at about 70 ha. and

4. Consultancy services : The preparation of design, project documents, and supervision of the project implementation.
Outputs: 

The main objectives of this project are as follows:

  1. Support agriculture sector in the country through development of Dunduwa Irrigation System Project in the Banke District in the Mid Western Development Reigon of Nepal.
  2. The project will help to meet necessary requirement in the development by enhancing agricultural productivity through providing networks and protection work in the project areas.
  3. The project will cover 13 VDD of Bankey district.
Outcome:

Enhance agricultural productivity through providing irrigation networks.
Impact: 

Improvement of Agriculture System in Nepal and improvement of livelyhood.
