1. Providing a physical structure (tent) attached to the hospital (on-site)

2. Provide physiotherapists to Gorkha hospital, in-patient and out-patient

3. Provide nurses to assist/support physiotherapists

4. Procure PT unit supplies (mobility/ assistive devices/ basic mediations)

5. Distribution of mobility and assistive devices (wheel chairs, crutches)

6. Provide mobile PT services through a mobile PT unit

          7. Provide mobile orthopedic camps

 

Outcome 3

  1. Procure prefab material for dispatch center and communications systems
  2. Install prefabs for dispatch center
  3. Install communications systems in dispatch centers and hospitals in Kathmandu
  4. Procure ambulances per established specifications
  5. Handover of dispatch centers and ambulances
  6. Supply necessary medicines for trainings
  7. Provide trainings to emergency medical technicians 

Outputs: 

Output 1.1 Assessments are conducted in designated VDCs

Output 1.2 Reconstruction of destroyed/ damaged health facilities in Gorkha, Kathmandu and Bhaktapur District

Output 1.3 Reconstructed health posts are supplied with equipment and three months of medical supplies

Output 2.1.1: PT patients attend the step down unit

Output 2.2.1: Mobile PT units are dispatched to rural areas in Gorkha district

Output 2.2.2: Mobile orthopedic camps are dispatched in Gorkha

Output 3.1: Establish dispatch center for ambulance services

Output 3.2: Provide communication systems to the dispatch centers and hospitals in Kathmandu

Output 3.3: Donated vehicles to be used for ambulance services

Output 3.4: Training provided to emergency medical technicians


Outcome:

Outcome 1: Earthquake affected people in designated VDCs have access to primary health care through a health facility

Outcome 2.1: Beneficiaries have to access to rehabilitation services through a step down facility

Outcome 2.2: Physical therapy support provided in rural areas where access to services is limited through mobile PT units and mobile orthopedic camps 

Outcome 3: Improve pre-hospital care and patient stabilization capacity during acute emergencies through the provision of training, supplies and equipment


Impact: 

Improve availability of integrated primary and secondary health care services for earthquake affected population.
