AID MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR NEPAL

Nepal Vocational Qualification System, for the first time,  was implemented from 2015.09.01 to 2019.07.15 and now  its II phase is going to be implemented from July 16, 2020 to July 15, 2024 for the 4 years periods.This project has been funded by Swiss Government through Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.The grant Amount is 7 million CHF.

• CHF 3110000 will be channeled through GoN treasury and implementation of NVQS project activities at Federal, Province and Local level.
• CHF 3660000 will be channeled through FDFA to TA provider on budget/off budget for technical assistance
• CHF 230000 shall be directly spent by FDFA for the backstopping and external review of the project.

• Nepali youth are knowledgeable of the application process and benefits of Vocational Qualification
• Employers are aware of the NVQS certification
• Human resources at MoEST and private sectors will be made capable of implementing NVQF at federal level.
• New NVQS will be drafted to align with the Vocational Qualification System and private sector needs.
• Accredited assessment centers offer quality assessment services
• Municipalities establish TVET coordination mechanism to implement the VQ system

• Certified Nepali youth through National Vocational Qualifications System gain employment in domestic and international markets
• CTVT, NSTB implement the NVQS in partnership with private sectors
• Provincial governments implement the vocational qualification system

• Nepali youth increase their employable potentiality
• gain access to international labor market
• help the nation earn remittance
• help strengthen socio-economic development of the country
• help increase the rate of consumption
