AID MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR NEPAL

This project will address the most immediate, medium and long term needs of marginalized women and adolescent girls; families with houses and belongings destroyed; poor vulnerable and socially excluded families belonging to ethnic minorities, indigenous groups and Dalits, families with no/low coping capacities, people living with HIV, people with disabilities, children under 5, infants, and older people in a gender sensitive manner. 

Shelter:

Women, girls, men and boys who are most vulnerable and most affected by the earthquake achieve safe and dignified emergency shelter and are able to access the resources, skills and knowledge to build back safer houses.

Food Security and Livelihoods

Livelihoods of earth-quake affected vulnerable households are protected and restored, with enhanced resilience

WASH

Affected communities have access to safe drinking water and sanitation facilities, and have improved hygiene practices

SRMH

 Improved access to quality SRMH services for women of reproductive age and adolescent girls

GBV and Protection

GBV services strengthened in the earthquake affected communities to prevent and respond to GBV incidents

Housing and Land Issues

Communities and vulnerable groups will have improved knowledge of issues related to housing and land rights.

The overall goal of CARE’s response is to meet immediate, medium and long term needs of the most vulnerable population in the earthquake affected areas in Shelter, Food Security and livelihood, WASH, SRMH, and GBV and protection sectors through strengthening local resilience and reducing vulnerabilities.
