Outputs: 

Education

1. School building construction in Nuwakot:

i. A 3-room building in Sansari Devi School in Bidur Municipality is built.

ii. A 5-room building in Dupcheswar  Adarsha Bidyaashram (school) in Dupchewar Rural Municipality is built.

2. School building construction in Mugu:

i.  A 4-room building in Mahadev Secondary School in Hyanglu in Khatyad Rural Municipality is built.

ii. A 4-room building in Bhagawati Primary School in Lamru Khatyad Rural Municipality is built.

3. School repair and maintenance in Nuwakot:

i. Necessary repair and maintenance is done in 6 schools in Nuwakot.

4. Support to hearing and vision impairment children in Mugu

 i. 36 students with hearing and vision impairment of Balmandir and Mahakali School in Mugu are supported their children’s clothes, daily needs, soap, tooth pastes etc and hostel furnishing.

5. Furniture/furnishing support for Mugu and Chitwan schools:

i. 100 sets of desks and benches are received by needy schools in Soru and Khatyad Rural Municipality in Mugu

ii. Carpets, cushion (chakati) and learning materials are received by the needy 10 ECDs in Soru, Khatyad Rural municipality in Mugu and 1 ECD in Chitwan

 

6. Scholarship programme in Chitwan, Mugu and Nuwakot:

i. 515 children in Chitwan,  2300 children in Mugu and 215 children in Nuwakot are supported under scholarship programme.

 

7. School health programme: 

The following number of children are trained on personal and community hygiene (teeth brushing, hand washing and maintaining sanitation in school: i. Chitwan:  515 children, ii. Mugu: 2300 children, iii. Nuwakot:  215 children

8. Child rights training in Nuwakot:

i. Schoolteachers, parents and students from 8 schools are trained on child rights in Nuwakot.

9. Teacher support in Chitwan

i. 5 schools are supported with total 9 teachers.

Health

i. 4 new birthing centres are established and 7 running birthing centres are continued in Mugu. 

 

Community Promotion

  1. Solar lights are installed in 340 households at Hyanglu in Mugu.
  2. Smokeless stoves are installed in 276 households at Hyanglu in Mugu.
  3. 6 Mugu youths are trained as ANM/CMA in CTEVT approved programme.
  4. 2 ANMs from the local area are trained for skilled birth attendant (SBA).
  5. At least 10 families in Nuwakot and 20 families in Chitwan are technically supported for off-season vegetable farming in plastic tunnel house.

Outcome:
  • All school going age children are enrolled and schooled in Mugu and Chitwan project areas
  • Child and maternal mortality are reduced
  • Status of health and sanitation of the people in household and community level is improved

Impact: 
  • Health and educational standard of the people in the project areas of Mugu, Nuwakot and Chitwan is improved
