• Upgrade the business skill and knowledge of 300 old and 60 new women and youth to run micro-enterprises based on comparative advantage such as goat keeping, poultry farming, vegetable farming and pig rearing. • Link the women with NUBL for financial services. • Strong market linkage and assurance of optimum market price to the products. • Create self-employment opportunities to women and youth at community level. • Increase the income of women and youth through micro-enterprises. • Provide advisory and training services in different aspects of the micro finance and social development for youth groups and women groups • Provide local level and sustainable technical support from local human resources • Increased knowledge of financial risk management among poor households • Increased access to inclusive and affordable micro health insurance • Increased capacity of communities to self-administer a micro health insurance scheme • Increased risk transfer from communities to commercial entities (re-insurers) • Policy makers acknowledge micro insurance as an effective poverty alleviation and risk management tool, and work towards the adoption of policies to support its development
